Generals Highway

Project Description

The project consisted of roadway resurfacing, restoration, and rehabilitation of 17.4 miles of the Generals Highway and 1.4 miles of Wolverton Road. The Generals Highway work extends from Little Baldy to one mile south of the intersection with State Highway 180, and the Wolverton Road work included rehabilitation of the Wolverton Parking Area.

Drainage structures (e.g. culverts and drop inlets) were rehabilitated or replaced at locations where existing drainage is inadequate. Asphalt curb and guardrails were replaced; and the road shoulder was restored. Turnouts, parking areas and scenic overlooks were rehabilitated.
