Buffalo Crossing Bridge

The project involves replacement of an existing bridge structure on Forest Route 24 (MP 10.0) over the East Fork Black River in Greenlee County, Arizona. The existing 3-span bridge's overall length is 90.0 feet and width (out-out) measures 30.9 feet.

The bridge was built in 1962 and sees heavy logging truck traffic. The capacity has deteriorated due to loading and age. The load rating was recently dropped making this a candidate for replacement. The roadway may be closed during construction with a detour provided.
